Abstract

Interscalene block as a reginal ansthesia is regarded as an effective anesthetic and analgesic method for shoulder surgery. It can reduce the side effect of general anesthesia. However, possible complications may occur due to local anesthetics, including hemodynamic, respiratory, and central nervous system impairment. We present a case of phrenic nerve palsy caused by US-guided interscalene block in a 71-yearold female patient who was planned for shoulder surgery.
